    What makes NWU special?

Our students make NWU special. We want you to find a home here because the NWU community exists because of you and for you. You will find numerous transformational opportunities inside and outside the classroom. Be open to experiencing everything NWU has to offer and you will thrive here!

What advice would you give your incoming students?

For my transfer students, you will become a part of the NWU community quickly and completely. Within a few weeks, you'll see yourself as an NWU Prairie Wolf. You will understand how you belong here. We want you to honor your previous educational experiences and use them to thrive in this new environment. If you need help, just ask! We are here to support you.

What are your favorite secret spots around campus or Lincoln?

There are some quiet benches sprinkled around campus that are great places to study or just contemplate life. One of my favorite benches faces Old Main and you can check out our oldest, but most beautiful, building on campus. I also like the stone benches that are east of the Library. They face Taylor Commons greenspace and it's a great place to enjoy nature. In Lincoln, I love the Sunken Gardens. I also like exploring our "small towns" inside Lincoln like University Place, Bethany, Havelock, and College View.
