    What makes NWU special?

NWU has a very close-knit, community-focused atmosphere. The goal is to make campus feel like home, and to make every student feel like they are an integral part of the community. Here there is never the feeling that you are lost in the crowd, but rather that you feel seen by your teachers, coaches, and the rest of the campus community.

What advice would you give your incoming students?

Explore campus and Lincoln, there are so many interesting places to see around town. There are tons of great hiking/bike trails and parks. Lincoln has a great live music scene as well, and a few great venues. Get involved in a campus club or group. NWU has tons of great ways to get involved, and it is a great way to meet fellow Prairie Wolves and find new hobbies.

What are your favorite secret spots around campus or Lincoln?

The best place to relax on campus has to be around the hammocks and picnic tables at Abel Commons. You can relax in a hammock under some shady trees, set up at one of the picnic tables for an outdoor lunch or a scenic place to study, or lay out a blanket and enjoy the sun on the open green spaces.

Ramos Pizza is a must try, and 402 Creamery is my favorite place to get ice cream.
