Truly, the people and this close-knit community at Nebraska Wesleyan are what makes this university so special to me. No one here is just a number on a page or a face in a classroom — your peers, your professors, and the staff here know and genuinely care about you and your growth, both as an academic and as a person, and that's not something you come by often!

Breathe! It is so exciting to join a new community like NWU's, and while it can be easy to want to dive head-first into every campus activity, sporting event, performance, and student organization as soon as you land on campus, it can also be overwhelming. Know that even though college can go by quickly (before you know it, you'll be walking across that stage, diploma in hand!), you have plenty of time to experience everything this campus and the city of Lincoln have to offer. Take a breath, get to class, and soak it all up while you're here. You've got this!

I love the Sunken Gardens in the springtime. During the rest of the year, I'm a big fan of studying at local coffee shops in town — I highly recommend Reactor, Crescent Moon, The Mill, and Meadowlark!
